What is this?

A product can look finished in a demo while required behavior is missing, logic is wrong, or extra unapproved features have slipped in. Feature Compliance Audit compares the built product against the governed Software Requirements Specification (SRS), maps evidence to each requirement, and labels behavior as passed, missing, incorrect, partial, blocked, or extra. It gives the owner a release decision based on requirement evidence instead of surface confidence.

When this helps

What you get
  • Coverage review
  • Gap list
  • Drift findings
  • Release decision support
Use it when
  • The product looks finished, but you do not know whether it actually matches the approved requirements.
  • A demo feels acceptable, but missing behavior, extra behavior, or quiet scope drift may still be hiding underneath.
  • You need a clear gap list before approving, releasing, or handing the product to someone else.
Not the right fit when
  • It depends on having a usable SRS and runnable evidence. If the requirement source is weak, the audit will expose that limitation.
What this prepares next

Clearer compliance -> Fewer missed requirements -> Better approval confidence

Why this is stronger than asking AI once

Asking AI whether the app matches the brief can produce a comforting summary without proving which requirements are covered, missing, or overbuilt. Feature Compliance Audit is stronger because it compares the built behavior against the governed Software Requirements Specification (SRS), names gaps, and separates drift from approved scope. The buyer gets clearer acceptance evidence before approving a handoff or release. Boundary: It depends on having a usable SRS and runnable evidence; weak requirement sources will be exposed, not hidden.
